Senior programs summer season updates

Senior Women - 6 wins, 0 losses - UNDEFEATED - Competing in playoffs

Our senior women’s program has soared this summer, ending their regular season at 6 wins and 0 losses in the EORU premiership division.

They followed that up with a 39-31 win over the Toronto Rugby Union women’s champion, Brampton Beavers on home field.

They will compete for the Intermediate Cup, August 9, at Twin Elm (12:30) against the Kingston Panthers.

While the season has been an on field success, the team prides itself on being open to all levels from beginners to provincial level players.

The team culture of inclusivity and camaraderie combined with a focus on skill development has been key.

Senior Men 1XV - 6 wins, 4 losses - Playoff bound?

The Senior Men had a regular season of ups and downs in their first season competing within Ontario-wide the Marshall Championship. After dropping their first two matches, they rattled off 6 straight wins, including a massive win against the previously undefeated London St. George’s (their only loss of the season thus far).

Some injuries, absences, and road trip challenges saw them drop their final two regular season matches. Now, they likely face a top-4 finish and a road playoff match vs. that same London St. George’s squad on August 16.

Overall, the season has been a success, we have retained our spot in the Marshall Championship and have proven we belong!

2nd XV

Additionally, We have also happily accepted a spot in the EORU 2nd division playoffs vs the Irish, Kingston, and the other squads. This has the benefit of extending our season for more of our players. Its important for our players playing at this level to continue to develop and grow their game we look for many of these players to be on our 1st season side in the next year or two.

This starts August 9th in Lanark. Match at 12 pm @ Oakfield.
