      Blues Advance to Marshall Championship!


      Hello Fellow Blues and Supporters,


      After an absence of 30 years, an EORU Sr Men’s Rugby Club has been invited back into the Top 16 ranks of Ontario Sr Men’s competition! 


      True to our club motto “ADVANCE”. The Bytown Blues, are the 1st EORU sr men’s side to be invited back into the Marshall competitions. This will expand our competition, and level of play next season. We’ll be competing club on club with 2 sides in this league. A preliminary schedule has already been drawn up with the final set to be released in early January. We’ll need to be ready to go for our first match on Saturday, May 10th. So, you’re encouraged to register early for the new 2025 season!


      To the players, and coaches congratulations on being recognized by your Ontario peers as a top side worthy of the competition. We’ve earned the right to compete, let’s keep this in mind as we train and get ready for next season. Our winter training starts up on Jan. 4th at the Ottawa U Dome, as in years past.


      As the only EORU side earning this promotion for for 2025, you’ll be representing not only yourself and your club, but the great level of play we’ve developed in the last few years competing in the EORU. Let’s take pride in that and continue to move forward on and off the field. 


      Lastly, promotions are always nice in sport. However, being successful once you’ve earned the promotion is what we’re after. Our goal next year will be for both of our competing sides to win, continue our on field success, and advance into the Marshall Premiership. More to follow soon!
