Twin Elm Rugby Park GoFundMe page

Blues member and TERP President Lee Powell set up a GoFundMe campaign for the park in order to raise funds for the organization.

“Going Forward

Twin Elm has seen a lot of use over the last forty years, but the aging facility needs to update its infrastructure in order to remain a cornerstone of Canada’s sporting community for the coming four decades.”

If you can share the page or be involved in the fundraising it would help the ottawa rugby community.

Twin Elm “Demolition (Renovation)” Sunday

A message from Twin Elm to our Membership:

“We’re starting this year off with some major renovations to the club house, and we NEED volunteers to prep the place.

Now is the time for us to put in our best effort to revitalize TERP and show the community that we take pride in our rugby home.

We’ll need volunteers to:

  1. take down, wipe and safely store all of our club house memorabilia;
  2. removing carpeting in the office;
  3. removing the parkay flooring in the main area;
  4. other spring cleaning and maintenance as needed.

Demolition Sunday will be held on March 25, 2018.

Please contact your club president (Jim Shaw president@bytownbluesrugby.ca) or Lee Powell to sign up.”

Registration

Our new Sportlomo registration site is now up and running. You can register for 2018 summer season! You can access from our website, or here. (https://reg.sportlomo.com/club/canada/ontariorugby/bytownblues)

For the vast majority of registrants, when you register you will check off all the age grade categories for the players you are registering (simple registration). Each age grade and management position has an entry for ONLY that specific role. Match Official is for referee registration.

If you are registering as player and management role (coach, manager, referee, board member) there are packages which combine the roles (either player and multiple management roles, or multiple management roles).

We have a help document for registration on our web site which can be downloaded here

As per usual if you have any questions or want to provide additional information feel free to email us at info@bytownbluesrugby.ca. If you would like to submit content to this newsletter or help in covering Blues Events please also send us an email.
