Last Chance for EORU Fundraising Dinner Event – Wednesday July 18th
“Greetings from the Eastern Ontario Rugby Unionâs Senior Menâs Program,
Lying dormant for over a decade, The Eastern Ontario Rugby Unionâs Senior Menâs Representative Program is back. Last yearâs revival saw seven different Eastern Ontario clubs represented in two trial matches that produced very positive results: convincing victories over Quebec and Ontarioâs Emerging Blues. These victories paved the way for two EORU players to be picked up by the Ontario Blues en route to a National Championship.
Our region has the talent and potential to continue to produce quality rugby, and rugby players, just as it did in its âheydayâ in the 1980s, 90s and early 00s. With more matches slated for the 2017 season, the team could use any possible support to help cover costs for team expenditures including travel and a new strip (the team wore the quite billowy Canadian Super League jerseys circa 2002 last year). There is a rich history and a lot of pride inherent in Eastern Ontario rugby and the players and management are excited to continue that tradition going forward.
We are having a fundraising dinner at the Red Lion restaurant (https://theredliongroup.com) in the Byward Market on Wednesday, July 19th at 7 PM. The cost is 50$/person. It will be a fun night with a non-rugby related master of ceremonies, as well as newly inducted Rugby Canada HoF member Al Charron.
All reservation can be made using this link:Â http://eorugby.com/events/dinner/
Please register before July 15 in order to allow organizers to prepare the event properly.
