Posted on: May 30th, 2013 by Mark Ward

With the first two games of the season already in the books, we can turn our attention to the first games of the season here in Ottawa. All three senior men’s sides are in action this weekend. Parc Olympique making the trip to into the city to take on the 1sts and 2nds in FRQ action, while the 3rds open their season against Upper Ottawa Valley. The 3rd match is tentatively scheduled for a 1:30 kickoff, but it is anticipated that the match will be moved to noon.

The 1st XV are off to a 2-0 start with their first two victories coming on the road. They opened with a 45-31 win over RCM, then followed that up with a 33-11 victory over Beaconsfield. Meanwhile, the 2nd XV rebounded from an opening day 24-7 defeat against RCM by beating Beaconsfield 38-10.

The 3rd XV are looking to defend their EORU title after beating Cornwall in the league final last season.
