Ottawa’s Bytown Blues Rugby Club’s Scott Best named to Quebec Universities’ All Star Team

Yet another member of the Bytown Blues Rugby club has been recognized for his exceptional play during the fall university season.

Scott Best has been named to the RSEQ’s Quebec Universities’ rugby all star squad. Best, the starting scrum half for Bishop’s University, is in his second season with the Quebec school. ,

His selection comes as no surprise to members of the Quebec and Eastern Ontario rugby communities. Best played in his first full season of men’s rugby with Ottawa’s Bytown Blues Rugby club this past summer gaining attention as an uncompromising, hard running and hard tackling scrum half.

“Scott Best’s selection to the Quebec Universities’ rugby all star squad is a testament to the hard work Scott and our coaches have put towards developing him into a top notch rugby player,” stated Bytown Blues RFC President Curtis Crawford.

A second generation Bytown Blue (son of noted Blue, Dave Best)- and the owner of the Bytown Blues most impressive mustache, Best also proudly represented the club as captain of the Lower Canada Voyageurs U19 squad at the Canadian National Rugby Championships.
