Seven Members of Ottawa’s Bytown Blues Rugby Club Kick Off at National Championships

Posted on: August 7th, 2012 by Bytown Blues RFC

The National Rugby Championships for Canada’s U16 and U18 provincial teams kicks off in Sherbrooke, QC on August 8 and will once again feature a healthy collection of up and coming young players from Ottawa’s Bytown Blues Rugby Club.

The speedy Mason Dingwall and Canadian U17 Player, John Shaw, will be suiting up for Ontario’s U18 squad while prop Justin Mackinnon and winger Alexander Johns will join the host Quebec squad in what will be a very tough tournament. Manor Park flag rugby graduate and fellow Blue, Connor Murchison and Julian Grego will proudly represent the Newfoundland Rugby Union in the U16 tournament. Jonah Nadler, a stand-out Blues and EORU U18 back rounds out the Newfoundland U18 squad.

“The Bytown Blues rugby club wishes our seven players at the National Rugby Championships the very best,” stated Curtis Crawford, president Bytown Blues RFC. “We are watching their rugby careers with great interest and look forward to these players one day playing for our great Men’s program.”
