Ottawa’s Bytown Blues Rugby Club Starts Year Off Undefeated in 7

Posted on: May 27th, 2012 by Bytown Blues RFC

Ottawa’s Bytown Blues Rugby has started the 2012 season off with a bang with the club going undefeated in 7 consecutive games.

The Blues Men’s 1st and 2nd XVs travelled to Montreal to play against the well respected Rugby Club de Montreal (RCM). Both Teams took to the field ready to compete and did not disappoint their supporters as the Blues 1sts won 35-5, while the 2nd XV won 24-8 in a spirited match.

The Blues 3rd XV travelled to St Jean to play against the large, hard charging Barricudas RFC. The Blues overall team fitness and game plan carried the day as the lads came back from an early deficit to post a 31 – 15 victory over their hosts.

Post game socializing was highly energized with much singing, much laughter and displays of genuine goodwill between the Blues and the St Jean squad.
