10 Points coming from Ste-Julie vs MTL Irish
The Blues managed to get 2 huge bonus point wins on the weekend. After the 2 hour and change drive to Ste-Julie, the club came away with 2 big wins. After the 2XV was down in the first half a hat-trick of tries by Dylan Havelock helped the Blues take a 31-27 win. The heat continued as the 1XV ran on the field to start a top of the table clash. Blues started off strong with first half tries from Stephen Rowlands, Ryan Surgenor, and Jeremy Nesbitt. Second half started off a lot slower but a try from John Shaw gave the Blues the 22 points on the day. MTL Irish answered with 2 late game tries to earn the bonus points as the Blues had 3 yellow cards on the day. With 2 of them coming in the last 15 minutes.
Blues 2XV: 31-27
Blues 1XV: 22-15
League Table
This is the part of the update where we would show the league table, unfortunately the LRP website is not functioning at the moment. The league table should be available here: http://blog.portailrugbyquebec.com/blog2/?page_id=568
By our count the Blues are 1st with 2 games played and 10 points.
Upcoming Match: Blues vs Ste-Annes
The Men take on the 2016 season league playoff winners at Twin Elm Rugby Park on June 3rd at 1330 and 1500 on Saturday. Last year when Ste-Annes came to town the Blues leveled a 40-0 win over the west island side. Should be a great match-up.
Saturday June 3rd:
2XV: 1330
1XV: 1500
