Blues Take on the Irish This weekend.

Blues 1XV and 2XV take on the Ottawa Irish this week at TERP. Should be a hard fought match for the men as number 4 (Blues take on number 5 (Ottawa Irish) according to the table online (but who knows if that is accurate or up to date).

Kickoffs are at 13:30 and 15:00 on the main field at TERP.

Blues 3XV fall to Petawawa in the Valley

Blues 3xv went out to Petawawa and provided a great game for the Petawawa team in the EORU League.

Final Score was 28-12 for the Petawawa Club. Captain Matt Thorpe had this to say on the game:

“They had some big strong men but at the 12 minute mark we started to tackle like we know how. The 3 tries they scored at the start of the game were not a true comment on how we played the rest of the game. If we had more possession than this game could have gone a totally different way. We did a great job of stealing some of their ball in the tackle but we stopped doing it in the second half for some reason. We did not stop tackling, we were not cowards, we were strong, brave and held our head high.”

Next game for the 3XV is this weekend against Cornwall on Blues Day.

See you all out on the pitch this week at training.
