Ottawa’s Bytown Blues Rugby club takes 7 of 8 games This Weekend
Posted on:Ottawa’s Bytown Blues rugby club kept up its winning ways with a combined record of 7-1 in weekend play.
The Bytown Blues 1st and 2nd XV travelled via coach to Sherbrooke to play the always tough Abenakisis club and came away with two well deserved victories that were notable for great play in the Blues backlines.
As with previous trips to Sherbrooke, the bus ride back was notable for its songs and assorted hijinx.
Meanwhile, the Blues 3rds got caught up in a scrappy game with Lanark that ended with Bytown on the short end of a 7-15 result.
The Bytown Blues u16 and U18s combined for 5 decisively large victories over the Indians, Scottish, Irish and Chelsea clubs during the Nationa l Capital Youth Rugby Festival to finish off another great weekend for the central Ottawa based Rugby club.
